North Hills Discipleship Journey

Find Your trail

It can be helpful to have a clear pathway to follow in your relationship with Jesus. That's why we created the Discipleship Journey. It's not intended to be a complete list, but each step is practical and effective in helping us grow.. We’ve laid out a process of four trailheads: Explore, Establish, Equip, and Engage. Each Trailhead is composed of "trails" that you can take to learn with others. Some take four. weeks, others can take up to eight, depending on how regularly you meet. We encourage every step to be done with a group and for them all to have a meal as part of the experience. So take a look below and find your trail. Remember, just like you might hike a physical trail again, you can go down one of these trails again to see what new things you notice along the way.

  • Explore Faith

Whether your first trail is through our open faith discussions, or through a simple Welcome Party after church, we hope this will orient you for the possible journey ahead.

  • Establish Faith

The foundation of faith is Jesus. How will we respond to him? We invite you to establish that foundation and to give your life to him in baptism.

  • Equip Faith

These trails are all about personal and coporate practices that help us abide in Jesus. Spending time learning to trust him personally, equipping ourselves for mission. Current trails include: Sabbath, Scripture , Community, Prayer, Fasting, and Generosity.

  • Engage Faith

Jesus invites us to use our faith to engage with others. In this way we shine the light of hope into the dark places of the world. Let’s look at how we’re gifted to serve, to witness, and more! Current trails include: Service, Witness, Global Faith, and Leadership.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
